As the nomination process is coming to an end, here are the following steps for your application: the submission of the Mandatory Medical Certificate.
If you have been nominated, you can proceed with your application, which means you will need to upload the Mandatory Medical Certificate to the online system by 15th April 2024.
Unfortunately, if the responsible Hungarian diplomatic representation has not approved your Diaspora Recommendation Letter you cannot proceed with your Hungarian Diaspora Scholarship application for the academic year 2024/2025. However, you still have the option to contact your chosen university about the possibility and requirements of starting your studies as a self-financed student.
Based on the Act CCIV of 2011 on National Higher Education related to medical examinations of students from abroad, applicants are required to upload a medical certificate of satisfactory health condition. There is only one exception: applicants with citizenship of a European Union or European Economic Area (EEA) country are not required to upload the document, please see the steps below.
Please make sure to upload your mandatory medical certificate by the given deadline (15 April), otherwise, you may not proceed with your application.
To upload this document, please log in to the online system (Apply online! – Hungarian Diaspora Scholarship) and check the ‘Tasks’ section of your application, where you will find the newly added ‘Mandatory Medical Certificate’ Task as shown below.
Please make sure to upload your medical certificate and the required attachments to this task directly, and after uploading it, select the following option: ‘I have uploaded the mandatory medical certificate’.
Please find below the mandatory template of the medical certificate which needs to be issued and signed by a physician: https://diasporascholarship.hu/wp-content/uploads/medical.pdf
The template describes which attachments are required to be submitted as well, please read it carefully and make sure to upload all necessary attachments as well.
If you have EU/EEA citizenship (including dual citizenship), you do not need to upload the medication certificate, however, you still need to complete the new ‘Mandatory Medical Certificate’ Task in the system. Select the “I have my citizenship from the European Union or the European Economic Area (EEA), and therefore, I do not need to upload the medical certificate” option. You need to make sure that the copy of your passport / ID card issued by an EU or EEA country is uploaded to the system. In case you forgot it earlier, you need to upload it now to the Task called Passport.
All documents that cannot be obtained or produced in English or Hungarian must be translated and the translations must submitted together with a copy of the original document.
We wish you good luck with your application and hope to welcome you among our scholarship holders soon!
