Being a scholarship holder comes with obligations, not only during your studies but also afterwards. You must meet the requirements related to learning Hungarian and, after obtaining your degree, you need to complete community work for a diaspora organisation of your choice.

Prove your Hungarian with the language test of the Hungarian Diplomatic Academy!
As a Hungarian Diaspora Scholarship holder, you need to prove your Hungarian knowledge till the latest one year after you receive your degree. To meet this requirement, you can either take an official language exam in Hungarian, or as a new opportunity you can also receive a certificate by taking the Hungarian as a foreign language proficiency test managed by Hungarian Diplomatic Academy.
The test is for all Diaspora Scholarship holder, but if you hold Hungarian citizenship, and cannot take the official language tests, for you this is the only way you can prove your Hungarian.
The language test is available twice a year in June and December, the registration is at the website of the Hungarian Diplomatic Academy.
Deadline for the June 2024 exam registration: 31 May 2024.
