The University of Nyíregyháza is the professional, cultural and art centre of Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg County, the easternmost region of Hungary. As being a leading university of applied sciences, the university offers high-quality teaching and research activities for nearly 4000 students, with a standard meeting the economic and social demands of the 21st century.
From teacher training to engineering or various social sciences, the university offers a wide selection of programmes in English and Hungarian language, at all degree levels. Within the Diaspora Scholarship Programme, there are now 76 programmes available, of which 71 are taught in Hungarian. At BA/BSC level, you can choose from numerous fields, such as mechanical engineering, agriculture or tourism and catering. At MSc level, you can apply to social pedagogy or teacher training education.
