Hidden Beauties of Eastern Hungary / Trip to Tokaj – HÖOK Diaspora Mentoring Network Event
We invite you for a wonderful opportunity to explore the hidden beauties of eastern Hungary, on an
exciting two-day trip filled with adventure and unforgettable memories on the 22nd and 23rd of
March. You can explore the natural beauty of the picturesque Tarcal, Bodrogkeresztúr and Tokaj with
us this weekend, so don’t forget to register for the spots. We are looking forward to sharing this
incredible experience with you! The trip will be by train, so we kindly ask everyone to have a country
pass. Accommodation and 3 meals are provided.

Detailed programme:
22 nd March – Saturday
-Meeting point and time: 08:15 a.m. – Budapest Keleti train station
The train leaves at 08:25, so please be on time!
-Arrival at Bodrogkeresztúr: 11:16
Lunch, exploring the village, a small hike to Tarcal, where we have our accommodation.
After checking into our accommodation, we will take a short hike to the statue of Christ of
Tarcal and the mine-lake. Finally, we end the day with dinner and wine tasting.
23 rd March – Sunday
Breakfast at the accommodation, checking out, then take a train to Tokaj. Boat trip there,
lunch, free time until 15:30, the train in direction of Budapest leaves Tokaj at 15:50.
Estimated arrival back to Budapest: 18:47.
Please note, that if there are any changes in the weather, the program might be adjusted accordingly.
However, we are confident that we will have a wonderful time and enjoy some sunny hours together!

We would like to inform you that in our programs, first-year Diaspora Scholarship recipients will be given preference. Therefore, even though you may have been accepted into the program according to the website, you might still miss out if there is another first-year participant who did not get in. We manually manage this on the website.
The following criteria will be considered when the registration period closes:
– First-year mentee with a diaspora scholarship
– First time in the event
– Time of application
