During this phase, applications are checked for basic eligibility and completeness.<br \/>\nOnly applications that successfully pass the technical check are forwarded to the next stage, which includes the verification of the Diaspora Recommendation Letter.<\/p>\n<p><strong>28 February \u2013 Second Round of Selection: Validation of Diaspora Recommendation Letters<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In the second phase, valid applications are forwarded to Hungarian diplomatic representations. At this stage, the authenticity of the Diaspora Recommendation Letter is verified. This includes confirming that the document was issued by a legitimate Hungarian diaspora organization or a Hungarian diplomatic representation.<br \/>\nIf inconsistencies are identified, the application may be rejected.<\/p>\n<p>Check out your DreamApply account regularly for information!<\/p>\n<p><strong>March to May \u2013 Third Selection Phase: Institutional Evaluation<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Applications that pass the previous stages are sent to higher education institutions for professional assessment. This phase includes a formal review and, where applicable, participation in institutional entrance examinations.<br \/>\nApplicants may take part in up to two entrance examinations, depending on their selected study programmes. The format and timing of these examinations are determined by the institutions themselves. Applicants receive detailed information directly from the relevant institution(s).<\/p>\n<p><strong>April \u2013 Fourth Selection Phase: Evaluation of Diaspora Motivation Letters<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In parallel with the institutional evaluations, Diaspora Motivation Letters are assessed by independent experts commissioned by the Tempus Public Foundation.<br \/>\nThe letters are evaluated based on a unified set of criteria, and the resulting scores contribute to the overall assessment of each application.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Second half of May \u2013 Allocation of Admitted Applicants<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>During the allocation process, several factors are considered, including applicants\u2019 programme preferences, institutional capacities, entrance examination results, and motivation letter scores.<br \/>\nThe Diaspora Scholarship Committee reviews the proposed allocation and may define priorities based on regions, countries, academic fields, or programme-specific considerations in order to support diversity.<\/p>\n<p><strong>June \u2013 Notification About Selection Results<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Applicants will receive statuses such as \u201cawarded Scholarship Holder,\u201d \u201cconditionally awarded,\u201d \u201cawarded on the waiting list,\u201d or \u201crejected\u201d by the first half of June. Notifications will be sent via email from Tempus Public Foundation, and results will also be available on the Dream Apply online system.
