Following his speech, Rich\u00e1rd Bodrogi, General Director of the Tempus Public Foundation<\/strong>, warmly welcomed the new graduates and highlighted the lasting significance of international education and alumni engagement through Alumni Network Hungary<\/a> \u2014 the largest alumni community for international students who have studied in Hungary.<\/p>\n

An inspiring moment of the event was the keynote speech by Agra Adipta,<\/strong> an alumnus from Indonesia and now a Biofuel Compliance Analyst at ExxonMobil Hungary. In sharing his personal journey, he highlighted the transformative power of his university years in Hungary and the lasting impact it has had on his academic and professional life.<\/p>\n

Following the keynote speech, students from the University of Szeged\u2014singers Ange Kato and Lilya Kurogi, accompanied by pianist Sonoko Asaoka<\/strong>\u2014delivered a heart-warming musical performance. Their program included an English song, a Japanese classic, and a traditional Hungarian folk tune, reflecting the rich cultural diversity of the alumni community.<\/p>\n

The programme then featured video messages from Hungarian ambassadors abroad, with warm congratulations and encouragement to stay connected. On-site, twelve embassies were represented, reflecting the event\u2019s international scope.<\/p>\n

The event continued with the introduction of dedicated alumni volunteers whose ongoing work strengthens the global alumni network. Both seasoned and new volunteers shared inspiring mottos and stories, symbolizing the spirit of community and service.<\/p>\n

In the second half of the event, the\u00a0Networking Expo<\/strong>\u00a0offered newly graduated alumni a valuable opportunity to expand their professional connections. Held over the course of an hour, the expo brought together a diverse group of participants. Alumni engaged directly with representatives from\u00a012 embassies<\/strong>, reinforcing diplomatic ties and opening doors to future international cooperation.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition, attendees connected with\u00a0alumni offices of their Hungarian universities<\/strong>, the\u00a0<\/span>Hungarian Diplomatic Academy<\/strong><\/span><\/a>, and the\u00a0<\/span>Association of Hungarian PhD and DLA Candidates (DOSZ)<\/strong><\/span><\/a>, alongside key organizations supporting international alumni. These included\u00a0<\/span>AlumniHU-KZ<\/strong><\/span><\/a>, the alumni network for Kazakh graduates of Hungarian universities, and the\u00a0<\/span>GiLE Foundation<\/strong><\/span><\/a>, which supports the personal and professional development of international students and young professionals in Hungary.<\/span><\/p>\n

The expo also featured information about the\u00a0<\/span>Practice Your Hungarian<\/strong><\/span><\/a>\u00a0language program\u2014an initiative designed to help international students and alumni learn and polish their Hungarian language skills. Serving as a dynamic space for dialogue and resource sharing, the expo fostered collaboration and deepened the sense of belonging within Hungary\u2019s academic and professional communities.<\/span><\/p>\n

As the Europa Ship cruised along the Danube, the day concluded with a joyful farewell reception. This inaugural fest was more than a celebration\u2014it was a significant moment in strengthening bonds across cultures.<\/span><\/p>\n

The message was clear: your journey with Hungary does not end at graduation\u2014it continues through connection, community, and shared experience.<\/span><\/p>\n

We connect. We belong. And together, we go further.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

On June 18, 2025, the Europa Ship hosted the first-ever Stipendium Hungaricum and Hungarian Diaspora Scholarship Alumni Fest, bringing together nearly 300 participants for a day of celebration, cultural exchange, and networking on the Danube. The event also welcomed graduating Hungarian Diaspora Scholarship holders, underscoring their vital role in the growing international alumni community.
