These celebrations bid farewell to winter, welcome spring, offer protection, and celebrate fertility. The Moh\u00e1cs tradition is also linked to a local legend from the time of the Turkish occupation, giving the festival a powerful historical and mythical atmosphere.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Program Overview<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>February 14 \u2013 Saturday<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Departure by bus from <strong>Budapest, D\u00e9li Railway Station<\/strong> in the morning around 6:30 PM.<\/li>\n<li>Full\u2011day visit in <strong>P\u00e9cs<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Zsolnay Cultural Quarter<\/li>\n<li>P\u00e9csi P\u00fcsp\u00f6ks\u00e9g<\/li>\n<li>City walk and sightseeing<\/li>\n<li>Overnight stay in P\u00e9cs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>(Participants from P\u00e9cs may join locally; they will receive separate meeting details.)<\/p>\n<p><strong>February 15 \u2013 Sunday<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Travel to <strong>Moh\u00e1cs<\/strong> to experience the Bus\u00f3j\u00e1r\u00e1s<\/li>\n<li>Free time to explore events and attractions<\/li>\n<li>Departure to <strong>Budapest<\/strong> around <strong>18:30<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Arrival at D\u00e9li Railway Station:<\/strong> approx. <strong>21:30<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>(Please note: we will <em>not<\/em> return to P\u00e9cs on the way back.)<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Additional Information<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Transportation, accommodation, breakfast, and all planned programs are included.<\/li>\n<li>Lunch and dinner are not provided; please plan your meals individually.<\/li>\n<li>Participants from P\u00e9cs may request support for return travel costs.<br \/>\nPlease email <a href=\"mailto:pallag.sara@hook.hu\"><strong>pallag.sara@hook.hu<\/strong><\/a> by <strong>February 13, 2026<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<blockquote><p>Details: <a href=\"https:\/\/diaszporamentor.hu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">H\u00d6OK Diaspora Mentoring Program<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><!--EndFragment --><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dear Mentees, Discover one of Hungary\u2019s most iconic folk traditions!
